Flood Information

With the recent flooding it is important to stay safe. Remember not to drive thru flooded areas, turn power off in flooded structures and evacuate when needed. Sandbags are availablein the county. Additional details for safety and sandbags can be obtained through the Kosciusko County Emergency Management Office at 574-371-2602.

For structures which have been flooded it is important to document any and all damage that structures have incurred once it is safe to re-enter the structures. If the structure has sustained substantial or repetitive damages/loss it may be eligible for assistance in raising or flood proofing through FEMA's Increased Cost of Compliance (
