Question
I received a courtesy letter from the Treasurer. What do I have to do now?
Answer
Taxpayers who are two payments delinquent are sent a letter advising that if at least one tax payment is not paid by the next tax collection the property will be included in the next tax sale held by the county. This is done as a courtesy to give taxpayers advanced warning that their property is in danger of being included in the next tax sale held by the county unless at least one payment is made. If you have questions concerning the tax status of your property, please contact the Treasurer's Office at 1-574-372-2370 or by email at mpuckett@kcgov.com.
